Best Emotional Healing Books

I consider reading one of the best ways to continue to learn and grow, and always have one or two books going. These are the books that I found helpful for growth. You may want to consider getting a subscription to something like Audible or Kindle Unlimited Reading to make it more affordable. (Although, I do recommend you try your public library first!)

the four agreements

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz

This book has four "rules" to live by. I consider myself a student of this book and am amazed that no matter how many times I read it I learn something new. I now keep it on the table where I journal. I will pull quotes from the book and journal about what those mean and how to apply them to my life. (Check out my book summary to help you through it!)

mastery of love

The Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz

After you finish The Four Agreements, I recommend you start on the Mastery of Love. This book is great for learning how to enter into relationship that are healthy and whole. I also keep this one around for when I journal and need some guidance.

dealing with the crazy makers in your life

Dealing with The Crazy Makers In Your Life by David Hawkins

This book opened my eyes to how others create drama and problems for those around them. After reading this I finally had words I could put to how some people made me feel. And why I had allowed it for so long!

boundaries

Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud & John Townsend

This is a must read for almost everyone. It will help you ensure your needs are being met while at the same time ensuring you are not taking advantage of others. As a recovering compliant, this book has saved me many times. (You will learn what a compliant is in the book!)

racidcal forgiveness

Radical Forgiveness by Colin Tipping

I read and research a lot on forgiveness. It was not until I read this book that I had a major break thorough in forgiving people in my life.

will i ever be good enough book

Will I Ever Be Good Enough by Dr. Karly McBride

This book was transformational for me. Outside of Dealing with the Crazy Makers, this one had the most eye opening impact. It gave me permission to fully accept that not everything was okay growing up.

Health & Fitness

Health problems can stop you from achieving your goals. Beyond that, fitness helps you deal with stress, solve problems and so much more. Staying healthy is equally as important as knowing what to do to achieve your goals. Below are some tools I use for my health.

Fit Bit

I have owned a heart rate monitor in one form or another since 2001. Back when you had to have the strap around your chest for it to work! 😂 I helps me keep tabs on problems that can creep up. My favorite part of the small fit bit I use is that it is unobtrusive but still give me pretty much everything others do. It covers sleep, workouts, heart rate, steps, calories and more! I use the FitBit Inspire

Workouts

I have been working out and lifting weights since I was 14. I have tried just about everything! What I recommend is that you find what works best for you. Every body needs different things. But here are some of my favorites: Beachbody (I started using them before they were an MLM!) I don't use the streaming service anymore. Instead I bought the old DVD sets so I can rotate through without extra costs. I get them from Ebay and Poshmark

Tools to Help Your Kids

Here are some of my favorite tools that I used when my son was growing up!

These little "doll" faces help your child learn and express their feelings. We started using them around the age of 4. They were a life saver many times. I still have them now, as I couldn't part with them!

I purchased Amy's course when my son was in 3rd grade. It was one of the best things I could have done! Not only did it have easy to implement tools I could use. But it covered all stages, so I have still be able to use it through to high school!

Miscellaneous

General round up of everything else I think is beneficial and that I use in my own practices.

  1. 1
The Heal Documentary I love this movie. It quickly summarized everything I have been learning for over 15 years!
  2. 2
My Favorite Meditation Pillow has the feelings listed, so if I am stuck I just look down! 🙂
  3. 3
Essential Oils from Plant Therapy - I love a good oil to help me relax and unwind. Yet it seems like there are too many trying to get you to sell, or they are just down right poor quality. I did a ton of research to find one that did not require MLM and was high quality. I picked Plant Therapy for my go to company. While there are absolutely many other great companies, this one meet my needs for quality, affordability, shipping ease and more! Check them out!  My two favorite blends are the Tranquil and the Intuition.
